To use Indexing Insights, you must meet the following minimum technical requirements:
Google Search Console contains the domain property you want to monitor.
Your account has an owner or delegated owner access to the domain property.
Important pages you want us to monitor are in XML Sitemaps.
XML sitemaps submitted to Google Search Console.
Important pages are grouped into subdirectories.
Domain Property
Google Search Console contains the domain property of the website you want to monitor.
Owner access
The Google Search Console account you sign up with has an owner or delegated owner access to the domain property.
You can find the level of access for a domain property in the Settings > Ownership verification.
Important pages included in XML sitemaps
The important pages you want us to monitor are included in XML Sitemaps or Sitemap index files.
XML sitemaps submitted to Google Search Console
The XML sitemaps you want our tool to download are submitted to Google Search Console. And can be found in the Sitemaps report.
Important pages grouped into subdirectories
The important pages you want us to monitor are grouped into subdirectories.
For example, an e-commerce website like Decathlon.co.uk groups its pages into the following subdirectories.

Our tool uses URL prefix web properties to help you maximise the URL Inspection API limits.
To create URL prefix web properties, your website must group its pages into subdirectories. These subdirectories can then be turned into URL-prefix web properties.
