If you are seeing "No domain property detected." message in step 1:
The most common reason is that: You are not an Owner of any website's domain property in Google Search Console.
To monitor a website in Indexing Insight you need to have:
The domain property of the website in your Google Search Console Account, and
Be an Owner or Delegated Owner of the domain property.
This is explained in our technical requirements.
How to check if you have access to a domain property
You can check if you have the right Google Search Console setup in 2 steps:
Check you have domain property access
Check you have Ownership access
Step 1: Check you have domain property access
If you are unable to see your website listed in the setup process, then check in your Google Search Console account that you have access to the domain property.
You can do this by simply checking the web properties list in Google Search Console.
Any domain property in the list of properties will have the label "Domain property'.
A domain property also does not contain a subdomain (www.) or a protocol (https://). For any root domains (example.com) and subdomains (blog.example.com).
Any URL prefix web properties will contain URL paths and protocols (https://example.com, https://www.example.com, etc.).
If you can't see the domain property for the website or subdomain you want to monitor then you'll need to verify your ownership for the domain property.
Note: If you do not own the domain, you'll need to request access from an Owner to make you a Delegated Owner of a Domain property. See below.
Step 2: Check you have Ownership access
If you do have the domain property in your Google Search Console account, then you'll need to check your user access level.
You can check your ownership status of a domain property by going to Settings > Ownership Verification:
If you don't have Ownership or Delegated ownership access you'll need to request access from an Owner of the domain property.
Note: We have created an email template that you can use to request access from an Owner of a domain property. Access the FREE email template.
